The bakery was opened in 1969 by German baker, William Weiss and his wife, who built a good business by using quality ingredients, hard work, and excellent recipes. Many of these recipes are still in use today; hard rolls, crumb buns and Lemon Chiffon cake, to name a few. In 1981 William sold the Bakery to his Head Baker, who in 1989 sold it to Mario and Connie Molinaro. This husband and wife team continued to grow the business until 2005 when Andrew Galambos and Gretchen Price took over as the new owners. With a passion for pastry and a commitment to customer service and satisfaction, Andrew and Gretchen continue upholding the name of Woodland Bakery as it has come to be recognized for its quality and consistency; while adding fresh and innovative ideas to entice the most sophisticated and educated of palettes.
